Biography:
Dr. Smith is currently Technical Director of QA and Research and Development for L. F. Lambert Inc., Coatesville, PA – a leading producer of commercial mushroom spawn. Dr. Smith received her Ph.D. in 1992 from the University of Wales, UK in Microbial Genetics. She began her career as a biochemist with Sigma Biochemical Company in the UK before coming to the US to work for L. F. Lambert. Dr. Smith is responsible for all Technical decisions pertaining to the cultivation and Research and Development of Spawn Inoculum and products within the Company. In addition, she is responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities for the Company and directs all aspects of subsequent scale up and commercialization for new microbial based products.
