Biography:
Elise Van Elsacker is a PhD researcher, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, funded by the Research Foundation Flanders, doing in a trans-disciplinary research at the intersection of biological adaptability of mycelium composites, structural lightweight design and digital manufacturing technologies. She is also co-founder of the cooperative Magma Nova (www.magmanova.com), specialised in design, product development, education and strategy in biofabrication.
