Biography:
Born in 1960, Jürgen Kynast graduated as an environmental scientist (Geoökologe) in 1989 at Bayreuth University.
He was for many years responsible for Research and Development in Pilzgarten (now BioMyCoTec), the largest producer of lignicolous mushrooms on organic substrate in Germany. In 2014 he took over Substratproduktion Hesse, together with Volker Löcke, which he modernized so as to become one of the largest substrate producers for ligicolous mushrooms in Europe. He has also been an independent consultant since 2012.
