Luisa Maria Tellín graduated as a Technical Engineer in Agriculture at the University of Salamanca in 2006. She is also an Agronomist Engineer, graduated at the University of Valladolid in 2010. She was selected under the Erasmus Programme to study at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2004. In 2008 she studied at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) in the framework of the Seneca Programme.
Since 2010 she is working as a researcher and project manager for CTICH (Centro Tecnológico de Investigación de Champiñón de La Rioja) in la Rioja, Spain. She focuses on the cultivation of exotic mushrooms on sterilized substrates, in addition to research in other areas like pest and diseases control, substrate and composting, cultivation techniques, waste compost management, fungal conservation, bioactive compounds and genetics
